is there therapy?

& i am an eaves dropper.

{let's be honest, we all do it. don't deny it.} 

but i can't really be blamed for my naturally nosy behavior. it's not my fault i'm constantly dying to know what's going on in other people's lives, begging to hear their latest stories. but i find myself listening to people's conversations. & sometimes, i find myself commenting & trying to join into them. it's annoying i'm sure, but it becomes a problem when these people are strangers, & probably couldn't care less about what i have to say. 1 of 2 things usually happens:

situation 1// the strangers look my direction, give a little courtesy laugh, then continue their conversation. maybe including me, maybe not. mostly pretending i'm not there for the sake to repair the awkwardness. 

situation 2// they ignore me. whether they heard me or not, they act like they didn't. which creates an even more awkward situation than situation 1. {similiar to the whole 'you wave & they didn't see you so you pretend you were combing your hair'}

situation 3// they listen. keep talking, you being included with what they're saying. you learn things about each other. you leave having met a new person, perhaps even a new friend. 

{i think i like situation 3 the best.} 

another thing i'm guilty of... is trying to read what someone is writing next to me. i'm not very successful at it. i can never quite decipher what they're saying without staring too long because A} my vision is horrible, & B} i don't want them to catch me, that would be awkward. 

so to those of you i eaves drop on. here's some advice to you. 

A: talk louder, & enunciate.

or

B: keep your conversations between your group so it isn't tempting for me to listen & join in. 

C: write clearer, & bigger.

or

D: cover up what you're writing so there's no chance i can read it. because we all know it's probably private anyway.
