how do you say goodbye to a best friend?

*someone you hang out with every single weekend.

*someone you've traveled to paris, san francisco & his cabin with.

*someone you drove to special needs mutual each week junior year. 

*someone you go on dates with like the Christmas dance senior year.

*someone you've loved, hated, & liked at different times in the friendship. 

*someone who gives you a big hug every time you see him.

*someone who was way out of it when he got his wisdom teeth out, even though he didn't think so.

*someone you make forts in your family room with & watch a movie in.

*someone who takes you to power tumbling & doesn't make fun when you're scared to do a backflip on the not bouncy trampoline; even when he can do any kind of trick way good.

*someone who gives you 300 songs on your itunes, & you erase all of them because they're weird.

*someone who annoyingly untags himself in pictures on Facebook all the time.

*someone who loves you even with your faults {picking pepperoni off pizza}.

*someone who weirdly sings your name whenever he says it.

*someone you get in trouble in art history, even though it was you talking every time.

*someone you eat canned peaches with & talk about what you want to do with your future.
*someone who is willing to sing the rap in your 'Utah Girls' version of 'California Gurls'.

*someone who makes you happy & makes your day.

i'll tell you how:

 you hang out for 2 hours. snap a picture. hug it out. wish him good luck. turn around & walk to your car. drive away. 

maybe you shed a tear or 2. but they're happy tears. because i wouldn't want him to be any other place for the next 2 years. i know he'll be an amazing missionary. i'm going to let the lucky people of taiwan borrow him for a while. please keep him safe over there. because i'm already excited to see him when he returns may 2013. miss you already...
