it's a celebration

well, today was my half birthday! yay happy day. birthdays are a big deal around here. to me anyway. i love them, and so obviously my half birthday would be a big deal too because that's half way to my real birthday. and halfway to me being TWENTY! no longer a teenager. which is a little freaky. like.. when am i going to grow up and feel as old as i am becoming? still waiting for that to happen. BUT the real reason for celebrating today was because my best friend josh got his mission call today! he is going to the Philippines Olongapo mission, speaking Tagalog... pretty crazy stuff. he is the greatest, he has always been there for me. whether it's me taking out my frustrations on him, our all night talks, random weird texts, scripture of the day, or when i fell off a rope swing 

and he had to drive me and my car home because i couldn't and we got lost and it was the best night ever, he has always been real and honest with me. i am going to miss him a lot, but we still have a few months before he leaves. i am so proud of him!
