all is well

I hate days when it seems like everything is going against you. Today, I woke up (late I might add) with a dead arm, which happens sometimes. then moved on only to find that my face was swollen. I’m talking I looked like hitch- eyes swollen almost shut, with bags so big under them they could serve as a nice pillow. When I first noticed, I stared in the mirror for a good 30 seconds, not moving. That’s a pretty long time to just stare. Then I started freaking out a little bit. 
‘that’s not me!’ 
I wanted to scream. So I started to work on it. Makeup, cold rags, eye drops… nothing helped. Nothing. My eyes had a big circle around them of swollen goodness. It’s such a shame that I had to go to school today, and couldn’t miss. Why? Oh I had a big math exam I had to take. Which, went awfully. So after, I went home and slept for probably a good 3 hours. I thought that would help but no, I wake up and feel sick, only to get a fever later on in the night. Add on a sociology paper I had to write and this could go down as the worst day ever. Right?

Wrong.

Today turned out to be one of the best days ever. It started when my roommate haley (noodle) bought me benadryl to calm my face down. Then improved when me and chels went to legends which she bought for me. On the drive home, ‘my life would suck without you’ came on and we blasted it and sang it at the top of our lungs. We went to her dorm and started making a dance for her ward talent show with kami. It was one of the funniest nights ever full of creepy cars, gunking, and boiled eggs. I went home only to find noodle, colbey, and connor at my apartment. We talked for a while which was nice cause I haven’t seen them in a while. I also found out I can wear daniel’s shoes with my shoes on.

So.. when so many things went wrong today, I realized something. all is well. When I’m down, and I want to feel all bad for myself, I realized I’ll be ok. Because, I have lots of great friends who love me… Puffy face and all.
